Not All Heroes Wear Capes

Not all heroes wear capes, and my beautiful friend is no exception...

“I work in a predominantly male industry, in finance, and so the way I dress is the way I’m perceived. What I wear makes a huge difference & sets the tone for when I’m leading a meeting or giving a presentation. I want to look feminine but also have a look that says I’m credible and you should take what I say seriously. I really think about that when I get dressed in the morning.

Specifically right now after having my 2nd baby Chase, and just reentering the work force, I pump 3 times a day at work because I’m still nursing. So when I think of my outfits, I not only think of the way I look & if I’m perceived credible, but I also think how easily I can take them off 3 times a day during the work day, without getting makeup on them or ruining them, and also do I even still fit in them from my pre-pregnancy size. Of course I want to look good, but I’m also thinking of the logistics of my outfit as well which is sort of a weird thing to think about - ok I’m wearing this work, how can I undress and be completely naked while I pump in it as well.”💕👏🏻✨

When I have the opportunity to just dress for myself, I’m all about jumpsuits. I love a good jumpsuit because you don’t have to worry about shaving your legs, it almost looks like you’re wearing a dress, just classic.”
