Hi friends!

My name is Courtney (that’s me up there in the plaid) and I’m so excited to welcome you to Thread Tales of Austin!

Cheers to Two Years - an Interview with My Husband

Cheers to Two Years - an Interview with My Husband

To celebrate our two year wedding anniversary, Josh & I (and Louis) stayed at Walden Retreats near Johnson City, TX & it was absolutely magical. I knew I would be taking pictures because hello Texas Hill Country, but I was also hoping to catch Josh off guard & get some snaps of his handsome face.

You see, my husband is a bit modest & not really big into fashion, style, etc. so it came as the best anniversary surprise [ever] when he not only let me take pictures of him “in his element,” but also interview him for Thread Tales.

It’s hilarious and I’m so lucky to get to laugh, smile, and be [so] weird through life with this man. Happy Anniversary baby. I love you so much.

Josh, describe your style in one word.

With one word?

Yes, one word.
[Long pause]

Are you recording me?

No.

Yeah you are.

Don’t worry about it boo. How about describe your style in two words, or whatever. There’s no rules.

Laid back. Blue…a lot of blue

[Lots of laughter]
I got it, that’s good baby.

Collars. Collars on collars.

Ok so wha

Off the [golf] course. Just off the course look.

See you have a lot of good things to say…ok so what has influe

Breathable.

Thank you Josh. Ok, so what has influenced your style over the years?

My armpits sweat a lot. That’s definitely influenced my style. So a lot more breathable shirts. A lot of dark navy clothing that hides the sweat. A lot of moisture wicking material.

[More laughter]
What’s that called?

Moisture wicking.

Oh ok.

My wife has influenced my style to be a little bit less…unmatched. So I match a lot better than I used to.

That’s sweet Josh. We can talk in first person by the way.  So you used to not match, and I helped you in that area?

It’s not that I didn’t match, I just put certain colors together better than I used to. Such as, I don’t wear blue & black together anymore. You know.

Where do you want to each lunch at? Pecan Street Brewing?

Yeah that sounds great.  Let’s get back on track…Josh, if there was one thing in your closet that defines you what would it be?

Navy blue breathable polo. The Under Armor, Wolf Dancer [golf course] one. Wait, can it be a hat?

Yes, it can be any item. A hat, an accessory, anything.

Yeah, still same answer.

So why does that shirt define you?
Because it’s solid color and has a little bit of weirdness to it.

You think you’re a solid guy, but also a little weird then?
I guess.

How do you hope your style portrays you?
I hope that people see me as real. I’m not going to dress up all fancy and sell you stuff or bullshit about stuff. I’m going to be real.

Last question - what’s the most risqué thing you’ve ever worn?
A onesie.
